About the opportunity
The Microbiology Associate/Senior associate (depending on experience) will conduct Bioburden & Endotoxin Test Method Validations for raw materials, in process, and finished products in a PC2 laboratory. You will also be responsible for routine micro analysis and environmental monitoring.
 
You will report to an experienced Micro & sterility assurance manager, and work alongside one other Microbiology Associate. The team are personable and friendly with a passion for microbiology and pharmaceutical innovation.
 
 
 
Duties
  • Raw material, in-process, and finished product Bioburden & Endotoxin Test method validation.
  • Contribute and assist with the sterility assurance programs and activities that support sterility assurance.
  • Perform all aspects of the environmental monitoring program – viable and non-viable testing, plate reading etc.
  • Undertake microbiological Out-of-spec and Out-of-trend investigations, deviation reporting, CAPA and trend analysis.
  • Support with PC2 laboratory certification
  • Responsible for equipment calibration and maintenance
  • Assist with the strategic development, implementation, and continuous improvement of existing and best practice Quality Management Systems, particularly in relation to Microbiology and Sterility Assurance
 
 
Skills and Experience
  • Tertiary qualification in Microbiology or relevant science discipline
  • Must have Test Method Validation experience for Bioburden and/or Endotoxin testing.
  • Experience carrying out routine microbiological analysis and environmental monitoring.
  • Ideal person will be passionate about pharmaceutical innovation and keen to further develop their career in microbiology.
  • Team player with excellent communication skills
