The Practice - Be part of a holistic cardiology team and play a part in the delivery of excellent patient care   

The practice provides a full range of cardiac and ultrasound services.  The clinic has a team of dedicated and professional Cardiologists, who have been providing the very best of cardiac care for patients in the Sutherland Shire for over 30 years. This is a well managed clinic.  The doctors have an interest in research and development.  This is an efficiently run practice and within close radius of public transport. 

The Vacancy  

As a medical administrator/ medical typist/ medical receptionist, you will be working with a team of five front line staff to deliver  outstanding patient services. You will work in between the hours of 800am-6pm on a 7.6 hour daily work load.  You will work either on the front desk, or be involved in managing the phones, dedicated to making out bound calls and receiving incoming calls.  Aside from the above, there is also some other duties involved such as medical typing, using dictaphone, processing billings and confirming appointments.  As a medical receptionist, you will also work with other health care workers to manage the logistics of hospital admissions, coordinating, filing and scanning of information to receive and send to referring GP's.
In addition, you will also be working closely with cardiac sonographers to assist with echo report typing and retrieval of information from reporting systems and other ad hoc tasks.  


Requirements 

  • Proven experience in a similar role  
  • Knowledge of medical terminology a plus 
  • High level of emotional intelligence 
  • Able to work in a team 
  • Be able to work in a fast paced environment 
  • Be able to multi task  
  • Experience in being able to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines 
  • Flexibility to be able to cover shifts Monday to Friday where you may start later, or earlier or finish later on some days from 800am-6pm 
  • Friendly and service orientated
