About the opportunity
As Financial Accountant you will be responsible for end to end AP processing, GL reconciliations, reporting and compliance for the Statutory & Group Accounts. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will assist them with financial reporting, planning & forecasting, helping with Supply Chain related duties as well as ad hoc requests from senior stakeholders e.g. Analytics information for the business. Opportunity to partner with the broader business both locally and overseas.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly BS reconciliations and journals
• Maintain Fixed Asset Register (acquisition/depreciation/disposal)
• Responsible for BAS, PAYG, FBT, Payroll Tax calculations and reporting
• Prepare the annual workers compensation calculations and return filing
• Support FM on annual budget/forecast submissions
• Support FM in preparation of various reports and Transfer Pricing
• Partner effectively with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance
• Take part in projects/improvement initiatives
• Other ad hoc tasks as required

Skills and Experience

• CPA or CA qualification (or currently studying)
• 3+ years experience in a similar role
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to effectively problem solve
• Able to work to tight deadlines and prioritise work load accordingly
• Proactive approach to work
