Working closely with experienced technicians, you will support the testing, maintenance and servicing of medical systems and devices, ensuring compliance with Australian standards and contributing directly to patient safety.
Duties
- Conduct routine testing of medical devices in line with AS3551 and AS2896
- Perform maintenance and servicing of medical systems & devices
- Assist with fault finding and troubleshooting of system issues
- Carry out outlet and pressure testing
- Complete digital service reports, documentation and records
- Maintain compliance with safety standards and company procedures
- Support inventory management of tools, equipment and spare parts
- Liaise professionally with healthcare staff on-site
- Participate in ongoing training and development
Skills and Experience
- Qualification in Biomedical Engineering (ideal) or similar
- Experience working with medical devices or in a hospital setting
- Basic understanding of mechanical and/or electrical systems
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes
- Good problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills
- Confident using computers for reporting and documentation
- Strong communication skills and professional presentation
- Ability to work both autonomously and within a team
- Willingness to obtain additional specialist certifications
- Full Driving Licence and ability to travel.
