About the Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for a Biomedical Engineer or mechanically minded technician looking to build a long-term career in a specialised and essential area of healthcare.
Working closely with experienced technicians, you will support the testing, maintenance and servicing of medical systems and devices, ensuring compliance with Australian standards and contributing directly to patient safety.


Duties

• Conduct routine testing of medical devices in line with AS3551 and AS2896
• Perform maintenance and servicing of medical systems & devices
• Assist with fault finding and troubleshooting of system issues
• Carry out outlet and pressure testing
• Complete digital service reports, documentation and records
• Maintain compliance with safety standards and company procedures
• Support inventory management of tools, equipment and spare parts
• Liaise professionally with healthcare staff on-site
• Participate in ongoing training and development

Skills and Experience

• Qualification in Biomedical Engineering (ideal) or similar
• Experience working with medical devices or in a hospital setting
• Basic understanding of mechanical and/or electrical systems
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes
• Good problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills
• Confident using computers for reporting and documentation
• Strong communication skills and professional presentation
• Ability to work both autonomously and within a team
• Willingness to obtain additional specialist certifications
• Full Driving Licence and ability to travel.
