About the opportunity
A leading clinical trials provider is seeking an experienced Clinical Operations Manager to join their team in a newly created role. Reporting directly to the Clinical Trials Manager,  you'll be the operational engine of the clinical unit, leading Nurse Team Leaders, driving floor-level performance, and ensuring the consistent delivery of safe, high-quality participant care.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives on translating strategy into execution and building accountable, high-performing teams.

What you'll do

• Provide daily operational leadership across the clinical unit, ensuring smooth patient flow and safe, compliant trial conduct
• Lead and develop Nurse Team Leaders through coaching, 1:1s, performance reviews, and clear accountability standards
• Drive real-time decision-making on the floor, managing escalations, risks, and operational priorities
• Oversee quality and compliance with GCP, ALCOA-C principles, protocols, and SOPs 
• Partner with workforce planning to ensure appropriate staffing across studies
• Lead training compliance, audits, and capability development across the clinical team
• Drive continuous improvement, CAPA management, and a proactive issue-prevention culture

What you'll bring

• Registered Nurse with AHPRA (no restrictions)
• Minimum 5+ years clinical experience, 3+ years in clinical trials, and 2+ years in a leadership or management role
• Strong working knowledge of GCP, ALCOA-C principles, and clinical trial operations
• Demonstrated experience managing teams and driving performance
• Confident decision-making in fast-paced clinical environments
• Strong communication and stakeholder influence skills
