The GOLD 2023 Guidelines have been updated to reflect the body of evidence in the treatment and management of COPD. 
This session will outline the new GOLD 2023 Guidelines and their impact on clinical practice, with a focus on: 
-    Treatable traits and how they shape COPD treatment
-    Relevance of international guidelines on Australian practice and primary care
-    Principles for appropriate inhaler choice and environmental considerations 

Learning outcomes

• Identify the key changes and recommendations of the new GOLD global COPD Guidelines and their relevance to local practice

• Determine which patients would benefit from bronchodilator and/or inhaled corticosteroid therapy

• Differentiate between the different types of inhalers and recommend appropriate inhaler choice based on key principles
