Lucy McCullagh
Senior Consultant - Commercial & Analytics
Meet Lucy McCullagh, Recruiter at HPG.
Lucy specialises in Sales, Marketing & Commercial Analytics.
Lucy entered recruitment with a clear purpose: to make a genuine difference in people’s careers, not just place them in roles. After completing a BSc in Psychology, she was drawn to the intersection of human behaviour and professional growth, making recruitment a natural fit. Healthcare, in particular, stood out due to its pace, complexity, and the scale of its impact on people’s lives.
Her academic background in psychology shapes her approach. Lucy goes beyond the CV, assessing cultural fit, motivations, and long-term potential through thoughtful questioning that uncovers what isn’t visible on paper. This depth is critical in healthcare, where the impact of the right (or wrong) hire is significant.
One of her most memorable placements involved helping a candidate secure a role that enabled them to relocate closer to family, a goal they had been working towards for years. That individual has since progressed within the organisation, reflecting Lucy’s focus on long-term success, not just immediate placement.
Known for her transparent and thorough approach, Lucy is focused on outcomes that last. For candidates, this means roles aligned with their long-term goals. For clients, it means securing hires who truly fit the team, not just the job description.
Lucy is passionate about building meaningful partnerships and delivering recruitment solutions that create lasting impact.
