"I have a solid understanding of the role types and skill-sets needed to excel in this area."

Why did you decide to enter in the recruitment industry?

I chose to pursue a career in the recruitment industry due to my passion for building and maintaining professional relationships. The dynamic nature of the industry, where no two days are alike, also appeals to me. Prior to transitioning into recruitment, I obtained a science degree and gained five years of experience in Quality Assurance. This background provided me with a strong understanding of the roles and skill setsrequired for success in this field.

What was it about healthcare that appealed to you?

As an individual with a strong affinity for science, I am constantly drawn to the latest advancements in the field of healthcare. The opportunity to collaborate with a diverse array of professionals and companies involved in ground-breaking research and development of innovative medical technologies is both a privilege and a thrill. Furthermore, being able to contribute to the betterment of patient outcomes is immensely gratifying.

"We worked together to ensure she was well prepared and comfortable going into the interview and the feedback was fantastic."

Tell us about your most memorable role placement. What were the challenges and achievements?

One of my most unforgettable placements was with a Medical Devices Start-up Company with a new technology that offered hope to patients with terminal cancer. This crew was passionate about their work and needed someone who could implement and maintain their Quality Management Systems to meet regulatory standards while sharing that same passion and drive. I connected with a candidate who wasn't actively job-hunting and lacked interview experience but had impressive strengths. We worked together to prep her for the interview, and she nailed it, impressing the team and landing the role a few weeks later. She later confided that she had lost a close family member to the same type of cancer and this job gave her a chance to make a difference and prevent others from suffering the same fate.

What education background do you have that helps you with your current job?

I have an Honours Bachelor of Science degree with a Major in Microbiology from the esteemed University College Dublin. As many of the roles I work on require similar Life Sciences qualifications, my educational background, along with my industry experience, have given me a solid understanding of the technical requirements of a position, making it easier to find candidates who are a good fit.

"I enjoy sharing market insights, trends, and general career advice and recommendations to all parties."

Why a client or candidate should work with you?

With over five years of recruitment experience in the Life Sciences sector, I've developed an intimate knowledge of the Australian market, and I'm eager to share my insights, trends, and career advice with anyone who'll listen. Whether you're a client or candidate, I'm dedicated to helping you achieve your goals, and I'll do whatever it takes to make that happen.
